Dr David Evans and the Challenge of Dementia

The release  of the results of the recent census has confirmed what many have believed for sometime. The  rise in the median age of population of South Australia  means more of us live longer and maintain chronic conditions into an extended old age.It has major implications for health policy. The situation becomes especially poignant when you consider  Alzheimers and other forms of dementia, slow acting and currently irreversible. Dr David Evans is a senior lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of South Australia and has just spoken at a successful aging seminar on the subject
