Professor Graham Brown and Festival and Event Strategy

Adelaide is the Festival city, capital of the Festival State and the month of March is especially a busy time, often referred to as Mad March. What does it mean to the state’s identity and reputation? How can strategy be developed to capitalize on our events calendar?  These are issues of concern to  Graham Brown,  Professor of Tourism Management  at UNISA, who spoke of these issues in a lecture at the University of South Australia on November 27th 2012. Ewart Shaw, who is greatly concerned for the impact on his sleeping patterns, his liver and his disposable income of the Mad March phenomenon, asked Professor Brown for his thoughts.
